After visiting with family and doctors, we took off for Hot Springs, Arkansas in April of 2021. We scheduled a month there and for me the experience proved quite enjoyable. The city is rich in a nefarious history and when you combine it with the a vibrant baseball history along with the spa experience; well it just has an energy like few other places. While there, we visited the newly renovated race track and casino but only walked through it. We spent a lot of time hiking in the National Park which is bisected by the city central. The hills surrounding the town are up close and provide great views. A great walking trail meanders along the Hot Springs Creek. Lake Catherine provides a lot of opportunities for water sports and sightseeing. Garvan Woodland Gardens became one of the high points of our visit. The weather cooperated nicely and I really need to apply for a job at the Chamber of Commerce or Visitor’s Bureau as much as I ‘sing their praises’. I’d like to go back when being around people isn’t such a concern. Great fun!
