Head of Tide

The farthest point upstream where a river is affected by tidal fluctuations1.

Kennebec River – Gardiner, Maine

Welcome.

We decide to take a journey and hope you come along.

Let’s explore together.

Journey represents change.

Whether it involves moving from one place to another, growing from one perspective to another, or aging from one phase of life to another…change happens. Change often creates anxiety about what is next or delight that things evolve, but some journeys are so slow that the sojourner hardly notices the change at all.

In many instances, the significance of a journey is discovered at the end when there is time for reflection. Sometimes it is only then…one realizes that they were taking a journey in the first place.

In search of Charles Herbert

He was my great grandfather and I’d only heard snippets of his history so I decided to go look for him.

Let’s go

As we travel I like to pull out a camera and capture a memory. Follow the link to see what I saw.
